Electronics
Using electronically operated locking devices rather than a traditional key, access control systems permit entry to authorised users identified by their fob, token or card – a safe, reliable and cost effective solution in comparison to the use of regular keys. For example, if fob, token or card are lost or damaged, their unique identity can be deleted from the system and a new one issued as a replacement. This eliminates the need of a full change of lock and key and also prevents copying of keys for unauthorised visitors to the premises.
